Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the influences of eHealth literacy, health information orientation, and social support on the use of internet on health promotion behaviors for their children among mothers.

Methods: The subjects of this study were 472 mothers. The data was collected using self-reported questionnaires from October 11, 2019 until November 30, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using an independent t-test, a One-way ANOVA, and Hierarchical multiple regression analysis.

Results: The mean score of eHealth literacy was 3.54 out of 5, of health information orientation was 3.83 out of 5, of social support from using internet was 3.67 out of 5, and of health promotion behaviors was 3.27 out of 4. There were significant differences in the health promotion behaviors by education, employment, and monthly income, use of health information available on internet, participation in clubs for parenting, and participation in community programs. The factors that influenced the health promotion behaviors were monthly income (¥â= 0.18, p< 0.001), health information orientation (¥â= 0.28, p< 0.001), social support from using internet (¥â= 0.21, p< 0.001), and participation in community programs (¥â= 0.10, p= 0.013), which explained 31.9% of the variance.

Conclusions: It is necessary to develop programs for mothers that can enhance their health information orientation, encourage them to join the communities present online, and encourage them to participate in the programs for child health care.
